Have you heard the news? IAOIP and ISO 279 – Innovation Management
The International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP) has been chosen as the Interim U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Administrator for the development of the new Innovation Management Standards. The scope of ISO TC 279 is “Standardization of terminology tools and methods and interactions between relevant parties to enable innovation.”
Have your CERTIFICATION?
Don’t forget your CPE’s….
Do you have your IAOIP Innovation Certification(s) and need to be sure it’s current? You have two requirements to keep your certification current during your first 3 years: 1. You must maintain your Professional Membership status. 2. You must complete 60 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours. Once you have had your certification for the first 3 years, you must be a professional member each year and complete 20 hours of CPE.
How do I get my CPEs? You have many options available to you to get your required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours. Classes in IAOIP Academy, webinars, and events. As a Professional member, you get substantial discounts for these CPE opportunities and in partners’ events. You may also self-report your continuing education hours by adding them in the Professional Development section of your Account+Settings. Click on PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT to add your CPEs. It’s that EASY!
Did you know?...
If you let your Certification lapse, you must retake and pass the required exam. Make sure you take advantage of the opportunities available to you now.
Certification Working Groups
IAOIP’s working groups help create and refine the certification exams and are an important part of the Association. Being involved in a WG is both a way to become involved in the Association and to contribute. At the same time, it’s also a good thing to put on your resume. If you are interested, you can learn more about the innovation certifications at http://www.iaoip.org/page/Certification. Learn more about the working groups and how to join by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
